Special Classes, Services,
and Presentations
The following offerings are available to individuals,
clubs, groups of friends, nature organizations, schools, and other organized
groups. Please

1. Free Mushroom Identification Service:
There's
two choices to discuss your mystery specimen with either a phone discussion,
or an e-mail. If you can
e-mail a couple photos (not too many!) of the mushroom in question, that's
of course helpful. Call Charmoon at
707-887-1888 or send
an e-mail.
2. Private Club or Group Foray:
Charmoon
will take your friends or club on a fun and informative mushroom hunt.
3 hours.
$25/ person, minimum of 6 people. Post-foray cook-out by arrangement.
3. Personal Land Tours:
Learn
about the edible, poisonous, and useful mushrooms that grow on your own
land with a private
guided tour from Charmoon. $75/hour for up to 6 people.
4. Group or Club Slide Show Program:
A
wide ranging, two hour presentation that includes an introductory talk,
artful & interesting displays,
and a one hour slide show. $200. Shorter & longer presentations available.
5. Mushroom Identification Class:
Learn the basics needed to begin
to identify wild mushrooms. Includes terminology, techniques, spore
prints, using ID keys, specimen displays, and much more. 3 hours.
$25/person, minimum 6 students.
6. Mushroom Cooking Class:
Join with Charmoon for an information-packed
two or three hours of cooking demonstrations &
tastings of wild and exotic mushroom dishes. Includes recipes, and tips
on mushroom cooking,
storing, preserving, & more. Two or three hours. $15/person per hour,
minimum 5 students.
7. Mushroom Cultivation Workshop:
Learn how to grow gourmet &
medicinal mushrooms at home or in your garden. Includes lecture,
demonstrations, making oyster mushroom kits to take home, much more. Outdoors,
for groups or
classes. Inquire
for details.$500 minimum.
Additional classes & workshops are available on
mushroom dyeing, paper making, medicine making, and soap making.

Mushrooms To You!
Delicious, original wild & exotic
mushroom appetizers, entrees, and/or multi-coursed meals paired with wines,
prepared for your dinner or special event. Fees vary. Inquire
for details.

The Wild About MushroomsCo. offers a variety
of custom-created, professional mushroom culinary services and events to
restaurants, wineries, & culinary schools. Offerings including mushroom
theme dinners, wine tasting accompaniments, wine pairing consultations,
wild mushroom cooking classes & cooking demonstrations, and more. If
